While no hybrid is on offer, Ford does two four-cylinder engines available, which return respectable, but not stellar, mileage. Prices start from an MSRP of $29,315.

Safety Score: The 2018 Ford Edge received an “Acceptable” rating for the driver-side small front overlap crash test performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and was outperformed by some competitors.

Summary: With its smooth ride and comfortable interior, the 2018 Ford Edge is an ideal highway companion. While the design of the interior is rather plain, it’s loaded with technology and comfort features. Meanwhile, the exterior design imparts an upscale feel that allows the Ford to stand proud alongside luxury models like the Lexus RX and Acura RDX.
