The 2018 Ford F-150 has been slightly updated with a new fuel-efficient engine and revised exterior styling. Prices start at $27,380, but quickly rise with the available luxury equipment. The F-150 offers something for everyone. There are no less than five available engines, three cab configurations and three bed configurations. The Ford F-150 is not only the best-selling pickup truck in America, but also the best-selling vehicle in America with an incredible 820,799 units sold last year.

The Raptor is the sporty F-150 that looks like a concept vehicles with its lifted suspension, unique bumpers and massive tires.

Coolest Feature: Back-to-basics steel wheels on the base 2018 F-150 XL model. Sometimes less is more.

Competition: Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Toyota Tundra

Summary: With so many models, configurations and engine options available, there seems to be an F-150 for every purse and purpose as the old saying goes. For a down-home pickup truck experience, skip extravagant Raptor, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited models and stick with the XL or XLT.
